Adligares are a type of binding cast by a djinn formed by mixing djinn spit with a substance such as mercury. It makes the subject bound to your will similar to a djinncantation. It is effective against both humans and djinn, as shown in the fourth book when Rudyard Teer used this against Nimrod Godwin and Groanin, enabling him to get Nimrod to strangle Groanin and run up and down.
